First off, since when does something have to be "NFL caliber" to be interesting? Heck, even the NFL isn't "NFL caliber" anymore given the unwarranted expansion the league has endured in the last few decades.

That said, YES. There are a FEW who could do well playing on Sundays. One is the kicker for the Sacramento Sirens, Jennifer Bloom. Another is the Sirens' former wingback/punt returner extraordinaire, Julie Wicher-Shockley, who has a gold medal from the first Women's World Championship. There are a few others spread throughout the league, too. Not many. But a few. Their success would depend on what position they would play and how they were to be used. Similar to a Lisa Leslie being successful in the NBA, albeit in a different position; I likely wouldn't place ANY female head-up on Klanq Fu, but a WNBA center with some movement might be successful as a small forward. An elite WNBA point guard might do well as a 1 or a 2 in the NBA. Same with football. I could see a girl with a basketball background (i.e. a post player) doing well as a wide receiver, particularly on routes terminating near the sideline, due to their ability to shield defenders from the ball. Judiciously selected female soccer players would make good kickers and punters; heck, that's where we get most of the guys for those positions nowadays, anyway. A girl with a good head on her shoulders could make a good QB. Outside of kickers, these would be rare. But I do believe that SOME could be successful.

And PLEASE don't construe my statement that SOME FEW could be successful as a global statement that EVERY FEMALE IN THE WORLD would have success there. If not every guy is successful in sports, one could hardly expect that every girl would, either.

Not true, dal, as much as I'd like to believe otherwise.

Some kids prefer baseball/softball. Others like hoops or even kickball.

Some :o would even want to do without sports at all. God forbid.

Even when I disagree with you guys about football, at least it's clear that you guys LIKE football. The same unfortunately can't be said about everyone.

:ohno:

Unfortunately, "most popular" does NOT equate to "everyone likes it."
