Anthony Ranauldo and Will Middlebrooks are the centerpiece. If this is true, the Rox got a good bounty... I dont like it... Ranauldo is too high a price to pay.
UPDATE: Jayson Stark reports the trade is nearly done and it is with Cleveland not Boston.... WHEW thank god,... Ranauldo was too much to give up.

Maybe not. The Pads website says that Jimenez is pitching for COL at Petco Park RIGHT NOW against Aaron Harang.

Boston or Cleveland, whereever it is, Jimenez has been traded as he hugs teammates following his first and only inning of work tonight, now we wait for confirmation on the deal.

One of the rumored prospects Boston would give up, Lars Anderson, was pulled from his game about 15 minutes ago.

Gordon Edes at ESPNBoston says no deal for Jimenez for Sox, but that they are close to getting Harden.

The Pads site is slow, but UNH is correct.

Jayson Stark now confirms a deal is nearly done, but it is with Cleveland not Boston. As Gordon Edes reports, Boston is close to getting Harden and Lars Anderson could be part of that deal as he was pulled from a game at AAA tonight.

Lars Anderson and a PTBNL to Oakland for Rich Harden. I like this for Anderson as he has no real chance of breaking into Boston's lineup with Adrian Gonzalez there now.

Either Boston or Oakland has backed out of the Harden trade. The trade was pending a physical, its unlikely that would have occured already. So either Boston became worried about Harden's health before doing the physical or Oakland decided the package of players it was getting wasn't adequate.

Erik Bedard to the Sox. I like this move a lot. But then again, I'm a Yankee fan.

MrT cries. Rox hauled in 4 prospects, two of them will be top 2 Rox pitching prospects. 1 of the others projects as a reliever, and the other one has some mild thump in his bat. Pomeranz, the key to the deal, won't be w/ the Rox until August.. something about waiting a year until after signing before he can be traded or something.

Troy Renck, who covers the Rockies for the Denver Post, was all over the Ubaldo stuff.. his timeline the last week has been crazy busy.

Bedard wasnt a fall back option for Boston, the plan was to get Harden and Bedard. The Sox could revisit Harden in a waiver deal in August, though its unlikely he would clear waivers to Boston with the Yankees able to block.

That's true. But it's not just the Yankees. There are probably many teams (starting with those in the AL West) who would jump in line to file a waiver claim on Harden. SO not likely that he'd pass waivers....
