The Giants have dropped their demand from a 1st round pick to a second and the Ravens and Patriots are reportedly are considering a deal.
If the Patriots pull off a trade it would give the Patriots a DL of Umenyiora, Haynesworth and Wilfork... that would be among the top lines in the league. Add to that a great young secodary with Devin McCourty, Leigh Bodden, Patrick Chung and Brandon Meriweather.
Last season the Patriots ranked 8th in scoring defense but 25th in total defense.

They'll need Umenyiora when they realize Fat Albert doesn't give a shit anymore.
Only question is whether Tom Brady will allow him to shit and piss on him in the shower.

Yeah, having Haynesworth as part of your line doesn't strengthen it.

Yahoo! is reporting that the Giants are no longer shopping Umenyiora and are demanding that he stop prostituting himself to other teams.

In other news the Patriots are the new favorites to win the Super Bowl. Previously the Patriots and Packers were equally favored at 7-1, with the new odds the Patriots lead the way at 13-2 and the Packers remain at 7-1

Eagles would rather not be the favorites anyway.

HUGE difference between a free agent signing to a division rival than a team trading a star to a division rival.
