Former Hornet QB Aaron Garcia made the most of his first Arena Bowl appearance in his 17-year career by throwing for a touchdown with two ticks left on the clock to lead the Jacksonville Sharks to a 73-70 win over the Arizona Rattlers at Arizona's arena. (Clearly, AZ paid dearly for letting the immortal Danny White get away.
)
Garcia threw for 402 yards and 8 TDs on the night, two of which came in the last 1:25 of the game. The Sharks were saved by a roughing the passer penalty near the 10-minute mark of the 4th quarter, which nullified a potential game-sealing pick. The game-winner went to the third option on the play, as the Rattlers were smothering the first two options.
Congratulations, Aaron! Now bring the trophy home to Hornet Town!!!
