NFL season opener is FINALLY here!!! I like the Packers to beat the Saints.

Well, IMO, NO has the better QB (by a long shot), but Rodgers has a better supporting cast.

Well isn't Obama's speech at 7? Personally, just being a recent college graduate and still unemployed I will watch Obama's speech but once it gets to 8:00 I will be turning over to NBC.

heck of a game to start the NFL season. Literally down to the final play and yard of the game. Don't know why Sean Payton decided to run the ball right at BJ Raji during that final play but I guess that's why he's the head coach and I'm just a fan. Id like to see if the Ravens and Steelers game is this entertaining on Sunday.

I was wondering who was calling plays. Near the end of 3Q, they called play action on 4th and inches, and the leaky line had Brees looking like Tarkenton until he was corralled; his desperate heave looked dumb. Then they run FB Dive on the extra play after the PI call in the end zone?

For the first one, the correct call was 10 Wedge (AKA QB Sneak). For the second one, toss sweep or option would have been better choices, particularly out of that tight formation. Tight formations naturally draw in the defense, as they found out to their detriment. The usual strategy is to draw the defense in to run outside, and to spread the defense to run inside when the gain is absolutely required.

Man, those were horrible calls....
