Chargers open the season by letting the Vikes return a kickoff for a TD.

Then Norv opens with 2 runs with a very over rated Mattehws and awful OL. 3rd and long pass gets nothing. Classic Norv.

Just saw Keading getting carted off.

McNabb answers with a INT.

Rivers' first pass is a TD.

I don't like Rivers at all. Three better choices (and I know that I'm going to get MAJOR smack for this) would be Fouts, Brees, and Flutie....

No way Flutie gets the nod over Rivers. But you know that, you just made the pick to get a response.

I'm your huckleberry. ;)

Flutie has rings. Rivers hasn't even gotten close....

Fouts doesn't have rings, and Rivers will have no problem surpassing his passing records. Your move.

Oh and the Chargers won 24-17. The Viking offense was deplorable under McNabb.

All I have to say about this thread is that the Bengals won their first game and are well on their way to being the TEAM of DESTINY....

Yeah, after a good laugh, I would be surprised if they win 4 games this year.

Side note, Chargers lost Keading for the year. Heard this from a buddy of mine and I haven't seen it in any media reports.

If that pans out (and, for full disclosure, SD is generally right on these things), do the Bolts go with Scifers as a combo kicker (a la the Rams with Frank Corral and the Cards with Steve Little) or sign someone else (like maybe John Carney)?
