not too bad considering we only have 5 of the sports listed out of the 8.

Yup - you can use up to 20 sports. Big Sky offers 14 championships, NAU sponsors 15 sports (Women's Swimming and Diving is the other).

Cross Country.

NAU Men finished 6th in the nation, women 23rd.

NAU has one of the 10 best cross-country programs in the nation - generally ranked/finish high. Men were 4th last year.
If Lopez Lomong hadn't left school to concentrate on the Olympics, we would have probably gotten second this year, matching the Jacks highest finish.

Makes sense. Spend all year training at THAT altitude, should make running just about anywhere else a breeze! :o :o

It does help. NAU's high altitude center has a great international reputation, which is a great recruiting advantage.

We don't have enough sports to ever qualify in the top 50. But we are on our way to the SLC cup. TxSt has won conference in all the fall sports this year.(that we participate in)
