Wow. 8 1/2 game lead in the WC on 9/1 and they LOSE it on the final day of the season by shitting a 9th inning lead and losing to the Phillies in 12.

Looks like D-backs are going to Milwaukee and St. Louis starts the playoffs in Philly.

SWEET!!!! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Braves 8 1/2 game blown lead is now the largest lead blown by a playoff bound team EVER.

And they might only hold the record for about an hour.   If Tampa scores a run in their game against the Yankmeees, BOSTON will steal the record from the Braves after holding the title of biggest choker for just ONE HOUR.

Boston. Gotta love 'em.

It's not such a dubious distinction when you hold it for only an hour...

Not true - Phillies fans will do our job to keep bringing it up to Braves fans as often as possible - it's great smack material. :thumb:

Like to see the Tigers get another shot at the Cardinals in the World Series.

Actually as of the last week of August the Braves held a 10.5 game lead in the wildcard. Gutless chokers.

Kind of like the '64 Phillies right?

Exactly, and now they get to live in infamy right up there with the '11 Red Sox, the '07 Mets, and the '64 Phils for regular season collapses. Gutless chokers, that's about right. Difference is that I've only lived through the Sox, Mets, and Braves collapses - I wasn't even born in '64.
