Help, I've fallen and I can't get up! Give me a break, he can strike out with a torn achillies just as easily as he can a healthy one.

the number of philly friends who are expressing this or worse right now is actually kind of sad...

I hope he's okay. But him saying that he thinks he tore his achillies just sounds like he's looking for sympathy, and now isn't the time for that.

I dunno - you look at the way he went down - it looked like he was shot...

I get that Phils fans are bitter and disappointed - but (less you than some others) some of the nasty shit that is being said about it is just shocking...

I don't doubt that he's hurt. But he's a friggen professional athlete and he can't run 90 feet? Sorry, I'm fat and out of shape, and I've never torn my achillies.

Are they claiming that StL's series win is therefore tainted?

For me, the viability of that would depend on which foot he blew out. If it's his plant foot, he's probably done. But if it's the OTHER foot, then we have THIS:

We booed him and spoke ill of him, therefore we suck. We are much worse than fans who assault opposing fans and put them in the hospital.

JD Drew is gonna be a free agent... You guys can sign him and give the fans down the RF line and in RF seats someone to heckle for about 20 games a season.

If you guys are so hellbent on getting rid of him, send him down to Florida for Hanley and G. Sanchez. Provided that you eat some of that contract of course. We need a big bat to protect Stanton...plus the 30+ HRs and 100+RBIs wouldn't hurt either

at this point who would want Hanley? He's been coming off worse than Manny being Manny.
