This guy is the only Cardinal to throw two no-nos and half of the only pair of brothers to pitch a no-hitter. He threw out the first pitch at Game 7 of this year's World Series, subbing for an ailing Whitey Herzog. Yet, somehow, he died of unknown causes today.

Condolences to his family and the entire Cardinals organization.

Whitey had a fall at home a couple of weeks ago. Heard he busted up his hip.

Sad to hear about Forsch. He died of an aneurysm in his chest. Apparently, there was no indication of health problems prior to that.

Herzog fell down and got hurt bad. No word I can find on specific injuries, but at his age there's a good chance that his hip was involved.

He locked in good health and great shape when I talked to him a couple years ago. He was concerned about Stan Musial's health though.
