Kyle Busch still held a slim chance of being the 2011 Sprint Cup Champion yesterday afternoon, today those hopes are gone as NASCAR has suspended Busch for the rest of this weekend after he intentionally sent Ron Hornaday head first into the wall under caution last night on lap 14 of the truck race.

GOOD! What a stupid fuck. You are already in a high speed race, let's through vehicular homicide into it. What a fucking waste of a sport.

It's fine to wreck someone in retaliation, but there's an acceptable way and a an unacceptable way. The unacceptable way is to make the guy turn right head on into the wall. That's what Busch did and he received an appropriate penalty, particularly with his established pattern of stupidity the past several years (I could recite at least ten incidents off the top of my head). He's just not a very likable guy at all. I like hard racing, but as a human, he just comes off as a bitch.

wow, I made the mistake of telling my father about Kyle Busch's suspension...man, did he go on a half hour long rant about how he hates both Busch brothers and then at work I made the very same mistake to one of my co-workers.

Do these guys have ANY fans at all? It seems like every NASCAR fan I talk to or "former NASCAR" fan do not like these guys at all.

Under caution no less...

And so shortly after the Wheldon tragedy.

had the exact crash occurred under green flag, while Hornaday was going a faster speed and thus more likely to be seriously injured on impact with the wall, NASCAR wouldnt have done anything, but because it was under a caution flag they suspended him. It's sad that NASCAR protects its stars as much as they can, but they had no real choice with him causing the crash under caution.
The last two guys to be suspended for incidents like this were Kevin Harvick in 2002 (before he was a star) and Robby Gordon in 2007 I believe.
NASCAR bows to the sponsors and fans way too much, they need to take a stand more often and ensure the safety of competitors.

And look how that's working in football. It has changed the sport so much, it shouldn't even be called football anymore. I forget who it was, but there was a penalty last week where the receiver was going to catch the ball and as he placed his hands on it, a LB or CB came and trucked him. 15 yard penalty, 1st down. No helmet to helmet or anything, just a shoulder hit which flattened the WR. It's quite scary how much Goodell has changed the game.
Don't let the same thing happen in NASCAR.

Who cares. I like Busch, well both actually. Kyle just does what he can to win every race. He gives it his all, and if you wrong him, you will get some payback. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, he probably should have waited a little bit and not wrecked him under the caution, but NASCAR sure showed their true colors this weekend. If it would have been a different driver, Johnson, Gordon, Stewart, Biffle (sp), Dale JR., etc they would have got a talking to and put on probation for the rest of the season. What a joke.

I disagree, because it was under caution I think any of the named drivers would have been equally punished, though with Stewart the only driver listed with a serious title shot, they would have thought long and hard before giving him the same punishment, but at the end of the day, because of how blatant it was they had no choice... The difference between Busch and the others are, that they would have waited to get their revenge under green or at a later date, Busch like always just cant control his temper and went right after him.

No time like the present.

Kyle Busch has a reputation. I don't think Gordon or Johnson would have been given the same penalty. I'm not sure about Stewart, he's had his run ins with NASCAR too.
