The Red Sox and Cubs both held second interviews last night with Dale Sveum. The Cubs appeared impressed and reportedly offered a contract to him, Red Sox ownership wasnt as sold and left the meeting without offering anything.
This morning the Red Sox appear to be going back and opening the process to further candidates with some reports saying ownership wants someone with previous experience which may open the door for Gene Lamont. The Red Sox could also ask for permission to talk to Tony Pena.

How times have changed.
Throw out some fried chicken, beer and video game stories and suddenly the RedSox job is the least attractive opening of the off season.
Good luck pulling a rabbit out of your hat Boston.

How is it the least attractive opening? No one has turned down the Red Sox because no one has even been offered the job.

how is it the least attractive??? millions of entitled douche-nozzle sully and murphs bitching about every little thing and losing their ever loving minds at anything short of a World Series title...
seriously - Boston has surpassed New York for the worst gig in MLB and it's all on account of their fans and media.
