Glad the NBA is back, their are a lot of intriguing teams...Celtics, Mavs, Knicks, Lakers, Heat, Thunder...
The NBA would have really shot themselves in the foot if they had to cancel the entire season after a record-setting season like last year where I believe ratings and attendance were up across the league, correct me if I'm wrong.
Also, they only lost 16 games...I'd like to see them try to have a full 82-game season.

In Minnesota they are looking to see if Rickey Rubio is an NBA player and watch promising rookie Derrick Williams.

DSURocks - I know exactly what I am not missing. Terrible basketball, played for way too many games, by a bunch of overpaid, mostly uninterested douchebags. The only positive I can think of is that we will once again get to hear about Lebron pissing down his leg when the title is on the line.

agreed - it's a phone it in league...
the playoffs are compelling - but all in all - i'd rather watch college hoops - passion, excitement, etc

Exactly right. THis is why I don't watch pro sports. There seems to be a lack of passion, drive, etc... Plus, the atmosphere at Game Day in College Football is unparralled, in my point of view.

Most of the college athletes I've talked to said they got a pay-cut when they went pro.
