I don't know why you are so down on this. The Packers have found a way to finance a substantial stadium renovation with private funds and without seeking government money or assistance. I figured that you would be 100% of with that.AZGrizFan wrote:What a complete **** scam. I can not believe how **** stupid people are.
WTF, instead of raising taxes, they have found a way to raise money from people that really want to support the team.AZGrizFan wrote:What a complete **** scam. I can not believe how **** stupid people are.
I think it's a GENIUS move by the Packers. I just can't believe they can still find suckers willing to stand in line to fork over that kind of money for a piece of paper.JoltinJoe wrote:I don't know why you are so down on this. And they're being upfront that essentially they are asking for a donation from their fans, that the stock being sold is without value and provides nothing other than a paper pretext to say that they are an "owner."
Not really seeing the harm in this.
Like I said: gullable. But, to each his own.Grizalltheway wrote:I don't know, if you're a die hard Pack fan, I think it would be pretty cool to say that you're a partial owner of the team, and the shareholder meetings would be fun to attend. Don't really see the harm if you can spare 250 bucks, and you know exactly what you are, and aren't getting.
Ok, I get your point. I'd never spend $250 just for the piece of vanity paper. And, if I'm a Packers' fan, I'd be happy to accept all the benefits of the stadium renovations paid for by others.AZGrizFan wrote:I think it's a GENIUS move by the Packers. You can also attend the shareholders meeting in Green Bay each year.Ivytalk wrote:Actually, you get some unspecified voting rights as well. Maybe to vote on the board of directors of the "nonprofit corporation." Certainly not to hire or fire the coach!
