I am. I grew up in a town that was focused on cross country and track. We had 100+ boys on our track team and multiple national champions. I also ran and threw in high school.dal4018 wrote:Any track fans on this board??????

Albany has a great track program for a northeast school and flat out dominates the America East.
My nephew was an NCAA champion last year so I followed the indoor and outdoor season closely.
My niece runs for Hawaii so I'll be following the West coast region this year.
I assume your nephew is preparing for Olympic trials. Did he sign with someone and is he doing some heptathlons this indoor season?danefan wrote:I am. Sac was picked to finish 1st and 2nd in women's and men's BSC respectively. I haven't posted it on Sac Buzz yet but a Hornetsports article was posted earlier in the week. The picks are pretty surprising considering we graduated a lot of our heavy hitters from a year ago. I guess we are that deep for T&F.SuperHornet wrote:I attended the USA Track and Field Level 1 Coaching School this past weekend just outside of Fresno. Pretty cool stuff, and some great coaches teaching some outstanding stuff. Jeremy Fischer (Chula Vista Olympic Traning Center) did a great job on the jumps, and Matt Lydum (throws coach at Defiance University) was a laugh riot.
I hope Sac does well, but I'll be focusing on the spring. I'm the assistant pole vault coach at my alma mater.

Distance stuff. For indoor I think it’s the 3k & 5k and distance medley. Outdoor I think she has run the 1500 as well as the distance events.dal4018 wrote:Your not ashamed are you lol, seriously what event is she in????SDHornet wrote:![]()
