Did Youngblood get that kind of treatment when he played the Super Bowl with a broken leg?

They just compared it to when Willis Reed played an NBA game with a broken leg. LOL!!

Awesome goal line stand by the Browns!
Steelers had 4 shots from the 2 yard line and ran four straight off-guard runs by Rashaard Mendenhal.
1 yard total.

that's a nominee for "dumbest fucking thing said" in 2011...
(right up there with Bachmann calling for the US to close the Embassy in Iran...)

Not even a year ago, the same media outlets was bashing him for the way he treats women. It's a funny world we live in. Poor Browns...only a field goal guys?

At the goal line, what the cr@p is wrong with the sneak and the option? The sneak is great because you're not wasting time turning around for a handoff that might get botched, and you don't have to worry as much about DLs submarining the OL. While the option does take some time, the defense has to defend all three elements (unless you're running speed option, in which case they still have to defend TWO). I know Ben isn't Timmy, but for two freaking yards, ANY QB can run the option.

Watching Big Ben trying to run an option would be like watching Rosie O'Donnell trying to run an obstacle course...

Not a QB with a broken ankle, ruptured patella and cracked fibia. I'm SURE Big Ben had all those, based on the way the announcers were going on and on and on about him and his pain tolerance level.

Announcers have recommenced sucking off Rothlesberger before the game even fucking starts.
Honestly, it is getting embarrassing. "He's a warrior." 'Look up 'tough' in the dictionary and there's a picture of Ben Rothlesberger next to it"...

I hate both of these teams. I hope the Niners break his leg in half, and the game ends in a tie.

I'd dearly LOVE to see the Seahawks make Jim Zorn their next quarterback....

Pretty sure our plan when we let Hasselbeck go was to get YOUNGER at the position, not ancient.

Getting younger for the sake of getting younger does nothing except relegate you to the cellar. Witness Caleb Hanie, Ryan Leaf, et. al.
Getting younger with a guy you're fairly certain about (i.e. Marino, Smell-Way, etc.) can result in some good things.
Sometimes, one gets lucky with it. (Andy Dalton.)
Playing a rookie/second-year guy is a crapshoot, especially when they HAVE to play due to injury (Hanie). The ultimate example, however, would be a lazy nincompoop like Billy Joe Hobert, who got cut immediately after copping to failing to study the game plan because "Jim Kelly NEVER gets hurt."
That said, guys who can step in immediately like Marino are few and far between. I may be old school, but I prefer to let a guy learn under an established guy for about four years. Otherwise, you often get a guy like Daryle Lamonica, who was generally OK, but prone to get lost in the zones. Good thing for the Raiders they had a VERY experienced backup in George Blanda, who could come in and immediately rip a zone apart.

Mr Iron Man has now accounted for 3 turnovers, and 0 points. Should probably sit the rest of this one out.

Love to see him struggle, but you know it would be a completely different game if he were able to step into throws or scramble.

"[Roethlisberger] is such a warrior, wanting to come back into the game..."
No, he's a pretentious douche. It's all about him, instead of the team. A team player would want who is able to be most effective to play. Let him stay in though, maybe the niners will break his leg.

Case in point. Just threw his 3rd INT. If he weren't hurt, he could've stepped into the throw and it wouldn't have been underthrown and picked.
