dback, I feel for you. I know exactly how you feel.

But unfortunately you don't get a do-over when the other team has a big PED cheater. I learned that after the 2001 World Series. :coffee:

Gotta love how everyone maybe with the exception of Manny Ramirez claims innocence.

Heard a physician comment this morning from the findings that have been released Braun is as guilty as can be.

You would've thought having even more PED cheaters than the other team would've done the trick for you in 2001 - I seem to recall Pettitte, Clemens, Justice, and Knoblauch all on the Yankees' roster that year. Probably should've had more cheaters. Explains the whole A-Rod acquisition afterwards, I suppose. Needed more cheaters.

I don't see why so many athletes find it necessary to cheat...the talent level across the nation is...wait I see why they cheat.

Still doesn't mean they can't be better than anyone else without proper work ethics.

If Braun is suspended for fifty, the Cardinals are already the 2012 NL Central champs.

Was HGH banned back then? I remember Pettitte used it for recovery purposes.

The dude cheats, gets paid, misses 50 games. Sounds like a win/win to me.

Weel the dude gets paid for playing 112/162 games, the 50 is not paid.

Nah, just illegal without a prescription, and these guys weren't getting prescriptions. And sure, he used it for recovery purposes - that's what everyone uses them for. Doesn't make it legit though. Dude was a cheater.

True but that fancy new contract he signed isn't going anywhere. The MLBPA will never allow the owners to put PEDs clauses into the contracts. The players have it made in regards to all this.

If Braun has been using for a while and just now is getting caught, he may become a .290, 25, 90 hitter. I don't think that is what the Brewers had in mind when they gave him all that money.

Braun's use of PED's improves his chances of becoming a Boston Roid Sox player.

Or a Yankee - they embrace the "by any means necessary" mentality.

The Hebrew Hammer is WAY more worth the money HE got than Joe Mauer is. :ugeek:

If a pitcher can win MVP playing in 35 games, then there is still hope for Mauer. :coffee:

Well, after everything that came up yesterday the only way I can sum it up is "Wow!"

From all reports Braun was guilty as hell but walks on a semi-technicality. No one disputes the results of the test but the fact that a courier kept the vial in his fridge for a night or two changes it?

I'd love to know the reasoning. I guess it's one of two things - did they think that for some reason someone would tamper with the vial, or by refrigerating urine for greater than a 24 hour period that extreme high levels of testosterone would generate. Now of course if that were true suppliers of HGH on the black market are now out of business since you just need to refrigerate your own pee & then inject it back into your body with no money changing hands to get the same effect.

Braun just happens to play for the Brewers, Bud Selig's Brewers, yea tell me there's no connection anymore, go ahead and MLB "vehemently disagrees" with the outcome...

The bottom line is he did it, but he'll be eligible for 162 this year anyway, probably at diminshed #'s since he now knows he'll be under the scope for the rest of his career. I'll be at CBP in July when the Brewers make their only appearance of the year and will serenade him with "STER-OIDS" and "CHEAT-ER".

Just like Joe Paterno and O.J., innocent in the court of law, guilty in the court of public opinion.
