Is it odd that the two newspapers are owned by the same company and this story was still green lit?

I know it's not a funny subject, but if you sterrotyped what a child molester would look like - see Bill Conlin. I never liked the guy.

Terrible. Wonder what the WIP morning gang will say about it. Angelo Cataldi trashed Joe Pa after the Sandusky story broke, and he has always sucked up to Conlin as a Phillies "expert."

Well I was in the car from 7 to 8 this morning & I didn't hear one thing they said on Conlin. Granted they had a lot of guests in that hour but I expected them to be hypocritical regarding Conlin since they all know him personally. The true test for them will be Friday when they do their "winners & weasels of the week". How could you not have Conlin for the weasel? I'll call in myself if I have to.

That will be the "true test" of their credibility, that's for sure. I'll have to remember to tune in myself.

If you read that Conlin article it's sad & you will get your blood pumping. The kids DID the right thing - they all immediately told grown-ups (their parents) what happened. And they never went to the police. Partly they went to Conlin himself & told him never to come close to their kids again & partly because it would "ruin Conlin's wife"?#@!?

What about your own damn kid? Can charges be filed for being an unfit parent? The bastard Conlin, like Bernie Fine, will probably never serve a day in jail in their lives.....

Philly Sports Radio 94WIP & the Philly media are horrific.

Here's a prime example:

As anticipated I listened to WIP this morning - the normal morning show is all off for Xmas so it was Big Daddy Graham & Mark Farzetta(sp). They nominate Jerry Jones as Weasel of the Week, not Bill Conlin, so I call in & wait on hold for almost 50 minutes. Make them laugh, make some Eagles conversation & then I nominate Conlin for Weasel fo the Week & get immediately shut down. They said it was "too heavy" and that he could be the weasel of all time but they wouldn't consider it. Keep in mind, this is the same station that ran Jerry Sandusky coverage 24/7 for 3 days to a week but when it's someone all the hosts know in the Philadelphia media - they clam up & shut down talk on it - shameful, these guys are just as bad as the enablers at PSU that allowed Sandusjy to operate there as long as he did

WIP always takes this approach when it comes to stories like this. I agree that WIP has been hypocritical in it's coverage of the Conlin story (or lack thereof), but I could have told you to save your phone call.
