Andy Reid Keeps Job!

And the Eagles will continue to underachieve for at least one more year. Fat Andy has two years left on his contract.

The future of the defensive coordinator is still up in the air. More suckitude on Souith Broad guaranteed.

This year was bad, but you know you're a good program when 1 game out of the playoffs is "suckitude". You're spoiled Ivy. Come to DC for a year and see what real suckitude is.

I was neutral on this. Changing Reid wouldn't have fixed what ails the Eagles. Juan Castillo was a problem early on, but the defense got better and there's no reason to think they won't still be better next year with a full year under their belts. Heck, they may even get a linebacker or two. The offensive line was a big question mark coming into the year, but they blossomed into a real decent unit under Mudd and you think, again with a whole year under their belts and with two rookies on this year's line, they'll be better next year. I don't think DeSean Jackson is going anywhere with the franchise tag out there so personnel-wise you bring back those guys.

In my mind, the NFL's turned into a QB-league (and has been that way for a while now). How the QB goes so goes the Eagles, and that hasn't changed. Vick needs to avoid the turnovers and he needs to stay on the field. If he doesn't do that, and I don't think Reid being here impacts that at all, then the Birds will be just where they are this year.

How the QB goes so does the Eagles? Does the QB play defense? Last I checked, they couldn't stop a nose bleed on that side of the ball. Their offense isn't explosive enough to keep up with their pathetic D. Fix the D and you have a SB team. :thumb:

FWIW, the Eagles gave up the third fewest points in the NFC (only San Fran and Seattle gave up fewer). Just sayin.

Like I said, the defense got better as the year went on. Of course, cutting down on the turnovers (i.e. Vick) also helped the defense's performance. I think it all comes back to Vick - he needs to be healthy, on the field, and not turning the ball over, and they can be better. If he keeps missing 4-5 games a year and has spates of turning the ball over, well, then Reid won't be here after next year.

Andy is part of the problem in Philly.

The Eagles drafts suck & they lack a football mind in the front office. Show me the last good LB they drafted early?

Are they going to bring back DeSean? Big hole at WR if they don't.

The Eagles used to be the #1 team in the city, they're a distant #2 at this stage behind the Phillies...distant.

The defensive coaching staff is a bad mix - and that's Andy's fault.

People in Philly live in a division where the Giants, Cowboys & Redskins have all won multiple Super Bowls. Andy Reid's crowning glory is he's been to 5 NFC Championship Games, lost 4, and lost 2 out of 3 as a home favorite. Second, or third or sixth place isn't good enough in Philly. It's Super Bowl or bust and Andy has come up short 13 times & counting.

The time is yours...

All I know is when you make Seattle's offense look good, your D sucks. Just sayin. :kisswink:

Men are talking here. I'm going to have to ask for people from Washington to stay out of this.
