BCS National Championship

Wow, it's tonight and nobody around my parts is talking about it. This could be the least anticipated NC game I can recall in my life. Maybe this is exactly what is needed to move to a playoff. I have to coach hockey tonight and I honestly don't give a rats arse that I will miss the first half of the game. I can't stand basketball but I'd be pissed if I had to miss the NC game.

Ditto. I have a school board meeting tonight and don't care that I'll miss at least half of it. They've already played and it was a snooze fest. Why do I want to watch that again.

This.
For the first one, I was at my in-laws and didn't care that they switched over to watch the GD Notre dame/Wake Forrest game. And I hate ND.

I have some painting I need to do. It is gonna be more interesting to watch that paint dry than this game.

I'll be watching it, mainly because I like LSU & I'm a college football junkie but I have low expectations. Awaiting the days of playoffs...

Hancock says that "the larger the playoff field the more damage to the regular season."
BULLSHIT, it's quite the opposite IMO. The fewer teams vying for postseason spots equals fewer regular season games that have importance. By last three weeks of I-A football, there are only a couple games that really matter each week.

I'll be watching but mainly scouting LSU for our game against them next year.

Right on pace for another 9-6 snoozefest. Fuck the BCS. OK St. would have at least 21 on the board right now against either of these teams.

First half of the FCS title game was pretty boring too - if the second half can compete with the second half of saturday's game - it'll be alright

Oklahoma State is DEFINITELY getting #1 votes in the final poll.

He should have been taken out between midway through the 3rd and 4th quarters. Nothing was getting done

Not sure why. Alabama's one loss was to LSU, which they avenged in a BIG way, whereas OSU's was to 6-6 (I think) Iowa State.

I will say, incredible defensive performance. Less than 100 yards and only crossed the 50 once?

So when is Game 3? They both won in the other's backyard...we need a tiebreaker.
Because right now,
LSU 13-1
Alabama 12-1
LSU still has the better resume, SEC champions, beat Rose Bowl champs, and Orange Bowl champs in the same season.
EDIT: Not to mention they DID beat the "BCS champions" in their HOME stadium as well.
split title all around, I thought the BCS was supposed to keep that from happening.

Screw the tiebreaker. The national champions are the Bison.
If you REALLY want to debate FBS, it's Boise....

Oh, here it is. Looked over on "Other Collge Sports" that has all the BCS Bowl threads and wondered why there wasn't a thread about the Bama-LSU game. Why is the BCS Title Game thread over on "Other Sports" instead of "Other College Sports" which is where it is suppose to be?

I am pretty sure NDSU is going to play Alabama in 2 weeks and after they beat them they will play the NFL champion in January. JBB told me so.
