yea that's right - even the night after a loss in MSG I'm proclaiming the Sixers the team to beat!
Too much young talent and too much depth in a compacted and shortened season gives them the leg up on the aging Knicks & Celtics.
Stick that up your *** Travis

I'm not on drugs, we're just talking division crown here.
The parade thread though will start up soon - for a different Philly team.

Largest point differential in the league at +14.8 per game
Seven players averaging over 10 ppg
No players averaging more than 35 mins per game
A young athletic team with a deep bench, this season could turn out to be a very good one for the Sixers. The condensed schedule (several back-2-backs, and a few back-2-back-2-backs), works in their favor as well.

Hey Yankee fans. Would this be an appropriate spot for me to babble on about being all time best 17 time NBA champions?

That would be a violation.
See Rule 2.01(a) "Smack talkers team must have at least a .500 record to resort to last-ditch reach and mention fanchise previous championship seasons."

I think there's a certain rule attached that makes the teams record irrelevant until a certain percentage of games have been played, otherwise, Yankee fans have violated this rules many April's.

Then again Yankee fan and intelligence are not exactly synonymous terms, on that we can all agree.

Tough loss for the Sixers last night. Spencer Hawes didn't play but they overcame that & had victory in their grasp but Iguodala makes only one of two FT's down one with 4 seconds left to send the game into OT.
Then in OT the game turns on a terrible charging call against Evan Turner by a female ref, yes I actually lost self-control & yelled at the TV for her to "get back in the kitchen".
Hawks & Heat coming up next.

Wasn't there a commercial in the 70s that went:
One, two, three-four-five, SIXERS.
Ten, nine, eight, SEVENTY SIXERS.
Why that's in my brain I'm not sure.
Wasn't the Spectrum half empty even during the Doc-Moses days? The Sixers are easily a distant fourth in Philadelphia fandom. I'm guessing the Phantoms drew better when they were in Philly.

Minnesota Timberwolves would be in second in the Atlantic Division. Philly should coast to the crown on this one.

12-5 now with 3 more cupcakes (NJ, CHA, DET) coming to slaughter at the Wells Fargo Center this week. Playing without their 1st & 2nd string centers the last 3 games too.

Big seven-game stretch starts tonight: Magic, Bulls, Heat, Hawks, Lakers, Spurs, Clippers.
No Jameer Nelson tonight for the Magic & Spencer Hawes should be back.

No Spencer Hawes again last night but didn't matter - Sixers break the game open in the 3rd qtr holding the Magic to 9 points. Still leading the NBA in opponents PPG. Turning the Atlantic into a 2-team race as the Knicks are fading fast.

Impressive takedown of Da Bulls last night behind Iguodala!

People wanted to see the Sixers play "better" teams & they're still just dismantling teams - the Bulls being the latest. Held them to 82 points, Rose had 3 second half points. Iguodala playing out of his mind on both ends of the floor & rookie Lavoy Allen outplaying Boozer & Noah in the paint??? Wow.
Show ya luv!

Came right back & pounded the Hawks on the road the next night by double digits. 3-1 so far on "toughest stretch of the season". Going tonight to see Kobe may his sole appearance of the season.
