Crazy Baseball Injuries

You just can't believe the stuff baseball players do to get hurt. Here's a sampling....
Reliever Ted Power leapt to his feet to defend teammates in a brawl and promptly strained his calf muscle.
Pitcher Ryan Dempster broke a toe hopping over the dugout railing to celebrate a Cubs win.
Utility infielder Randy Johnson once spent 6 weeks on the DL after spraining his thumbs putting on his socks.
3B Wade Boggs strained his back putting on his cowboy boots.
Pitcher Tom Glavine broke a rib while puking. I guess that outdoes slugger Kevin Mitchell, who only strained a muscle while puking.
Mitchell also hurt himself eating a microwaved doughnut; he had to get a root canal.
The best of them all: Red Sox rookie pitcher Clarence Blethen got bit in the rear end by his own false teeth sliding into second base. He was removed from the game for excessive bleeding. Dude thought he looked meaner on the mound with them out and forgot to put them back in when he went up to hit.
ROFL.
