The former DWTS contestant just filed for bankruptcy. Apparently, getting divorced really does land a guy in the poor house. He may have to return to football to clear this up....
I'm gonna' hafta' call a big BS on at least a part of that article about Sapp.
When it mentions assets, it says he has 240 pair of Jordans worth $6500??? That would make each pair about $27.. If the article said he had 24 pair, I could almost understand it, but 240? Bullshit!
I've got 17 pair of Air Jordans, and they are worth a lot more than $6500!

Yes, I am. But, I was old in 1985, when they first came out, and I've been wearing Jordans ever since then.
What's your point?

One would also think that Warren Sapp owned Jordans would command a premium price on account of the sports memorabilia market, not just the shoe collector market.

Warren Sapp memorabilia isn't in real high demand. Now if they came from Grizo406's collection or Reggie White's estate, they would have great value on the open market, worthy of Legendary Auctions.

True 'dat, Gil!
I ain't sellin' a single pair of what I have, and my collection isn't gonna' get much bigger!
About the only thing that would increase the number of my collection would be finding a duplicate of a pair I already have. I don't keep these shoes in a box, I wear them, and finding a replacement is time consuming, and expensive.
It's sometimes hard to justify droppin' $500+ on a shoe that retails for $120!??!

Not just that...but a shoe that retails for 120 that the store bought from Nike for about 45.....that cost about 20 bucks to make (including wages of the person who made it).
People who spend that much on shoes are fucking stupid and deserve to get run over and beat in the fucking riots they have to get them.
