Franchitti and Dixon finish 1 & 2 for the Target Racing team at Indy. Ashley Judd looked pretty happy as her husband won his 3rd Indy 500

I missed it as we had a baptism service following church today. I was surprised to hear that two people got black flagged after only ten laps for going too slow.

Looks like Franchitti needs the race to end under a caution to win, as all three of his wins have come that way.
He's one of the good guys, so I don't mind it so much. I can't wait for the Coca-Cola 600. It's time for Danica to shine!

I caught the very end. Was hoping the little nip could nip Franchitti, but he did a kamikaze into the wall.

Sato spunout after hitting the inside line trying to pass Franchitti on the last lap to win the race.

Well, if he blew it in the process of going for it, you can't fault him for trying. It's those who don't try or try to cheat that I don't particularly care for.

He should have followed through one and tried to make the pass coming out of two. Impatience killed him. He tried a sneak attack going into the first turn and ended up in a mushroom cloud.

Exactly. The lead car was a sitting duck all day. Sato went for it too soon. He should have drafted through 1 and 2 and then tried for the pass.

30th place. 5 laps down. Her best NASCAR Sprint Cup result yet!

Danica started 40th, 86. How is +10 spots bad, especially given some of the big names that finished WELL behind her? Mark Martin (34th) had a place differential of -28, A.J. Allmendinger (33rd) lost 22 places, Scott Speed finished 37th, and Joe Nemecheck finished 41st.

If you wanna talk about suckage, start there....

:ohno:

She finished 30th, only 7.5 miles behind the winner! 30th out of 43 is awesome. It's just too bad that she couldn't put an end to her 4 year winless streak.

Maybe soon she'll be able to double her professional win total, at least she has those Go Daddy commercials to fall back on.

It's not true that the name Danica is slavic for "over-rated".
