They are now saying what plenty of ppl have said in previous yrs that Michael Jordan got his revenge vs.Isiah Thomas by denying him a shot at Olympic Gold.Trivia question who else denied Isiah a shot Olympic glory????

That's what you get when you organize a freeze out of Jordan out in the all star game when he was a rookie.

Thomas made his bed and its safe to say that no player in the history of the game used "others who had pissed him off" for motivation as well as Jordan. Obviously Rod Thorn and USA Basketball felt the team would be better without Thomas or they would have told Jordan that he wasn't needed.

It wasn't just Jordan that didn't want Thomas.

He made his bed.

True, Magic didn't want him either and they were supposed to have been good friends.

I'd bet less people wanted him than didn't.

I still say Isiah should have been on that squad especially over so-called choir boy Stockton that he single handedly abused in his 44 pt performance to the point that Malone sent him to the bench with a bloody nose.

Johnson's agent Lou Rosen supposedly told Johnson that Isiah laughed at him after he contracted the aids virus it was mentioned in the book about him and Bird "When The Game Was Ours"

I bought one of these at K-Mart 20 years ago thinking it might be worth something. Still in a box in my parents' basement:

Stockton was more of a team player that Thomas. Doesn't matter how good you are, if you don't fit in with the team, well, Thomas found out.

It is worth something, on ebay between $40 and $60. Now is the time to sell them, as they were going in the $20 range earlier this month.

I think it cost damned-near $20 originally. What a shitty investment. I should have just gotten a Chinese "massage". :ohno:

What a great squad, how could we NOT win!? ESPN has a documentary on the Dream Team and it's pretty good. I watched it Tuesday. It's amazing how they were superstars in America, but when they went overseas their stardom skyrocketed.

Thomas & the Pistons' refusal to shake hands after the Bulls beat them in 91 was a factor for other players and team executives.

Thomas was a great player and a tremendous competitor and if the decision was based on ability and impact alone he should have made it. Unfortunately for him there were other factors and those kept him from being selected.

Yes I saw that incident but Dumars shook hands with everyone on Chicago and no one had a problem with that display of sportsmanship from the man known as "Joe D" on the Pistons .Yes that wrong on Isiah's part. What other factors kept Isiah off that historical squad besides his feud with # 23 and #33????
