So...a few weeks ago Eagles President Joe Banner, to the delight of Eagles fans everywhere steps down as Team President, a position he held as long as Jeffrey Lurie has owned the team as they are childhood friends. Move was a total surprise & Banner has no other gig he's going to.

Then, this weekend it's announced after 20 years of marriage that Lurie & his wife Christina are getting divorced.

Now, they're not exactly the two best looking people on the planet but there are now rumors floating that Joe Banner went Delonte West - LeBron James' mom on Lurie's wife, and he gets rid of them both within weeks of each other.

Ah, the offseason in Philly.....

I think the Banner thing is a ruse to cover up the real culprit: Andy Reid.

They're going to need a bigger ruse.

As a lifelong Cowboys fan, I'd be scared to death to see it, but if the Iggles dump Reid, they should replace him with Dick Vermeil....

What is with your fixation on the Danny White era?

Vermeil? Really? He's 76 years old - I don't think he even does TV anymore. And besides, the media would have a field day with Vermeil and the whole Sandusky tragedy - Vermeil wrote the forward for Sandusky's autobiography and he was involved a lot with the Second Mile Foundation. I'm sure at his advanced age the last thing he wants to do is get back in the public eye and have to put up with questions galore about all that stuff. He obviously didn't have anything to do with any of that, but why would a guy enjoying retirement want to get back in the game and then have to deal with that on top of everything else?
