The New York Yankees have acquired 10-time All-Star Ichiro Suzuki from the Seattle Mariners for a pair of minor-league pitchers.
The Mariners confirmed the deal, which first was reported by the YES Network, on their official Twitter page.
Ichiro, 38, has spent his entire 12-year career with the Mariners.

Actually, Ichiro hasn't played his entire baseball career in Seattle; he spent just a little more than half of it there. Prior to that, Ichiro played 9 years for the Orix Blue Wave (now the Orix Buffaloes following a 2004 merger) of the Pacific League, the Japanese equivalent of the American League in that they also use the bogus DH.
