Re: US SOCCER
That was a painful game to watch. The US played really well for about 10 minutes from minute 65-75 and had Qatar on the ropes and then inexplicably let up and let them stand around and rest. They were lucky to win.

Man, you must be a joy to watch sports with. There have been plenty more painful games than last night, and the US was threatening all of the second half. They moved the ball pretty well and were dangerous in the offensive end. For a "C'" team from the US, they looked pretty decent.

Re: US SOCCER
The Americans were outplayed thoroughly in the first half, outshot by 10, but an inspired Matt Turner kept his team in it with two brilliant saves in goal.
This was the USMNT’s inaugural visit to Texas’ famously quirky capital city, and they got into the local spirit eventually. But for the first hour or so, this one sure wasn’t shaping up as an arthouse flick; more like one of those fascinating but morbid videos of a python moving in on a rat at feeding time.
That’s because the home nation were pretty poor in the first half – and that isn’t just my word choice, but also that of US winger Paul Arriola postgame.

US with a gutsy performance against Mexico...wins the Gold Cup in the 118th minute!
The US allowed one goal this entire tournament.

And Qatar....

Then why did you just take over 45 hrs to respond?

Because I was hiking 3 days on the Appalachian Trail and not monitoring a website waiting like a wartime bride for your correspondence.
Besides - that time limit is for YOU to respond to ME, not the other way around. Deal with it.

No, YOU responded to ME, not the other way around. You said:
I said my of response time of about 36 hrs:I’m sorry - you didn’t respond in time to my post. Please try again later.
.36.93 hrs is well within the acceptable range
YOU said
clearly implying my response time of 36 hrs was too long, then you took even longer to respond. Not for me it isn't - get with the program, bub.
So its you who needs to get with the program and work on you’re reading comprehension. Deal with it.

It's the initial response that I was referring to. You have some bizarre issue with people responding to your posts outside of some arbitrary time-frame.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Mon Aug 02, 2021 1:39 pmNo, YOU responded to ME, not the other way around. You really are having trouble. Let me break it down:
YOUR time frame of 36 hours might be good for you, but I was fucking with you by saying it was too long for me. Why the fuck would I care about MY time frame in responding? This is all about your self-imposed time constraints and getting your panties in a bunch when someone responds outside of that arbitrary time-frame.
Do you understand it yet or do I have to break out the crayons?

I know. Actually - it’s downright embarrassing to get worked up over such nonsense. I’m adult enough to admit that.

Clearly what you meant, and what your response implied, is 2 different things. Talk about not being able to admit when they’re wrong..

Re: US SOCCER
Good win last night against Jamaica, and by 2 goals as well. Good to start getting the goal differential up a little bit. Also good to see the young kids stepping up, even with Pulisic and Reyna not playing these games. Certainly early, but may have found a real star in Pepi - the guy just knows how to score, which is obviously a great trait in a striker. Being just 18 y/o is a plus as well. I liked that they started Aaronson last night (besides my bias favoring Union players) - whenever he's on the field he just seems to make things happen. They need to find a way to include him in the lineups once the bigger name guys get healthy.
Big game coming up against Panama, in Panama. It's not as hard to play there as it is in other CONCACAF venues so it's a place you could take all 3 points. Panama is sitting 4th right now but just lost on the road in El Salvador. They have a road game at Mexico right after this so saddling Panama with 3 straight losses could give a lot of separation between the top three (USA, Mexico, and Canada) and everyone else.
