Should be interesting on the return team...

I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut Demps = Nehemiah. There's only one Bob Hayes....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: Jeff Demps joins New England!!!
There are a few problems with that assessment. The main one is that Branch never focused on track after college. The other is that Branch never had a problem with catching or retaining possession of the ball. Nehemiah, a track convert, had a HUGE problem in that regard, as I suspect that Demps (also a track convert) will. His college experience will help, but he's spent a significant period of time away from the game to focus on the Olympics, and I think that will tell.

Granted he will have a huge learning curve that he must conquer in order to take advantage of his world class speed.SuperHornet wrote:There are a few problems with that assessment. Demps is not just a track convert, he was also a very good RB for the Florida Gators. He does have some football talent, and only took part of a year off, skipped the 2012 NFL draft to concentrate on the Olympics.

Yes he has football experience but somebody on another website told me he wasn't the best RB while at Florida.Gil Dobie wrote:Demps is not just a track convert, he was also a very good RB for the Florida Gators. Re: Jeff Demps joins New England!!!
He was a straight ahead, out run the defender back, not much lateral, Rainey was the shifty back. He does have football experience, unlike other tracksters that have not done so well in the NFL. He is a winner, gained over 600 yards on the 2008 Florida National Champion team. Florida has had multiple backs the last few years, most in my fantasy football league ignored them because 1 back did not get a majority of the carries. I would like to see Demps do well.dal4018 wrote:Yes he has football experience but somebody on another website told me he wasn't the best RB while at Florida.Gil Dobie wrote:Demps is not just a track convert, he was also a very good RB for the Florida Gators. Yes he had his style of running because of his world class speed if I had his type of game breaking speed I would be that type of runner myself.Gil Dobie wrote:He was a straight ahead, out run the defender back, not much lateral, Rainey was the shifty back.
