Not me. A game is 60 minutes. The way the TB defenders lined up it was obvious that they weren't taking the play off. The chances of TB winning were remote, but they were zero if TB doesn't try and make something happen.

The Giants are cry babies.

Coughlin has no clue what the hell he's talking about. Kudos to Schiano for instilling into his team you play for 60 minutes.

By the way, Schiano did that 2x at Rutgers where they got a turnover & they won one of the games.

And for those of you that say it doesn't happen in the NFL - I give you Exhibit A - the Miracle at the Meadowlands. Sure Joe Piscarciak (sp) fumbled a handoff to lose it - but what people forget is the Eagles did exactly what the Bucs did the play before that as Piscarciak took a knee & the Giants then decided to run a play - the rest is history... :thumb: :thumb: :notworthy: :notworthy: :thumb: :thumb:

That was the term used by Elisha&company in the post game press conference.

I get the whole playing all 60 minutes, but what goes around comes around - the next time TB has the lead at the end of the game they may as well paint a big ol' target on Josh Freeman cuz the D will be gunning for him without worrying about a roughing the passer call...

I'm a Giants fan and I have no problem with it, but only because the game was a 7 point game.

The Victory formation is there to protect your QB...not to take a play off. The Giants weren't ready and they got pushed back.

Exactly.

If the game were a blow out then I would side with Coughlin.

There was no roughing on the last play. TB didn't do anything dirty. They just played hard at a time when the Giants expected them not to.

But you are right, what goes around comes around. The next timeTB takes a knee they need to be ready for the defense to play hard.

They probably play like this in practice.

I am with Schiano on this. The NFL game needs more college-styled swagger and attitude (just look at the 49ers). The game wasn't over yet. Football doesn't need any stupid unwritten rules like golf and baseball. Good god I hate "unwritten rules." :ohno:

Unfortunate but completely acceptable within the rules at the time. Tatum was one nasty defensive back.
