Originally & for now I'm going to stick with it - I thought they'd be back for the Winter Classic - kinda like the NBA did last season.

Yup. And it won't stop me if they make another run this year. Still doesn't mean I give a shit about the regular season. Practically everyone gets into the playoffs anyways.
