Can't wait for this Cup. Been watching a lot of history on the GC this week already. Watched "War on the Shore" last night. 1985 was the Cup that started everything from the standpoint of making it a rivalry, but '91 was the one that made people actually care (yeah, yeah, not everyone cares). Matches start bright and early Friday.

I'm looking forward to 2016 in Minnesota, to watch it live and in person.

Learned some stuff watching these shows. Dick Ebersol was a HUGE part of making the '91 Cup special. The last match between Couples/Stewart and Olazabal/Ballesteros on Saturday went way over the time allotted and at that time TV didn't stick with sports like this (let alone a Ryder Cup that had never been broadcast by national TV). Ebersol made the executive decision to not only stay with the coverage, but did it commercial free. It was most definitely one of the best hours of sports drama that had aired to date. I can absolutely remember watching that night.

There is a poster sized picture in the Ocean Course Clubhouse of Langer sitting in the dunes bumming out.

The lack of tomorrows pairings at 5pm EST is ridiculous.

Huh? That's the allure of the event - all the gamemanship leading up to who's going to play with whom and against whom. The afternoon pairings aren't made until the morning session is done so why would they have the first pairings lined up almost 15 hours ahead of time?

Snedeker hits a HORRIBLE tee shot out into the trees...now Furyk trying halve the match with a miraculous shot.
Too bad, after coming from 3 down with 6 to play.

The tee shot cost 'em. McIlroy/McDowell come back to win the match on 18...
1-1 tie right now.
