My Fantasy Team FINALLY went through...

I'm in an auto-draft league, and our commish held off on starting things, hoping to get more teams. That didn't happen, so she put it through. The auto-draft (you can set pre-draft preferences to make it more likely to get players you like and less likely to get players you don't like) happened this week, and while I like some of the guys I got, I really think it's a mixed bag. I'm going to let it go this week, but I'll probably make some cuts next week. Here's who I have right now.
QB - Brees*, Vick
WR - Welker*, Austin*, Marshall*, S. Smith, Wallace
RB - Forte*, C. Johnson*, D. Murray
TE - Gronkowski*, Witten
DEF - GB, PIT
Forte and Gronkowski are struggling with injuries, but the Yahoo thinks they'll be fine, particularly with Gronkowski playing in front of near-hometown fans. We'll see if that pans out. I'm not thrilled with the pick of Marshall, but I'll let it ride at least one week....

I ended up letting him ride, but got caught with my pants down because I didn't know that the Pittsburgh D had a freaking bye. My opponents had the SF defense, which went off for 42 fantasy points. And how was I supposed to know that her QB, Brady, would blow up with 32 of his own? Her RB Jamaal Charles beat Johnson by four points, and I'm awaiting three players tomorrow, while she has one. The score now stands 132-77.84. Odds are, I'm toast.

Um....Brady is averaging (at least on ESPN's scoring system) over 16 points and was facing a one of the worst pass defenses in the league - and a team he has crushed time after time after time.

Well, I figured I wouldn't have much of a QB deficit, and I was right. Brees got me just shy of 30 points on Yahoo!'s scale. The big issue was having NO defensive points because I'm a dummy.

I guess it wouldn't have mattered, except for making the game much closer. I could have swapped out the ailing Forte for almost double the points, 4.9 to 8.1) and started the GB D (19.6 pts). I STILL would have lost.
And it could have been worse. My opponent had Colston on the bench with his 21.3 points. And this is a girl I DESTROYED in fantasy ball last year. Ugh!
