The Islanders have been dealing with this issue for a couple years. Nassau County voted down a new arena last year, so the timing of this is not related to the lockout.Re: Brooklyn Islanders

Better Brooklyn than Quebec City, Islanders fans.
It's going to be an awkward set-up for sure, but I didn't want to see the Islanders move out of the metro area.
