A girl is lighting up the world of mighty-mites football. She looks like she's about six or seven years old, but Sam Gordon is already running circles around boys, breaking tackles, dragging defenders for extra yards, taking brutal hits, and delivering some of her own. She's even mastered the forgotten art of shifting the ball from one side to the other just before getting hit, something that even high school and college boys often forget or screw up.
Watch out, boys! Sam is coming to take your job!

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.
