Lakers in freefall?

All my Laker fan friends are freaking out. "We're the laughingstocks of the NBA," despite the fact that they have nine wins while Washington has all of TWO.

So are they so far screwed up that they'd drop a WNBA game? Are they going to finish last? Or is this all just a temporary thing affected by injuries and a recent ill-conceived coaching change?

Yes they are screwed up they, lost to Cleveland despite 42 from Kobe, the days of Showtime are long gone.D'Antoni hasn't realized this most ,of their best players are well past their prime. He has Gasol ,playing near perimeter instead ,of down on the block and needless to say that isn't his strong suit.

You do know commas serve a purpose, and that you can't just throw them in anywhere, right?? :|

Why? They have all season to get ready for the real season that starts in April. Everything right now is basically extended pre-season work.

It's takes time to gel as a team. We should know more by mid-season, if the Dwight Howard experiment will work or not.

Agreed it takes time, to gel but D'Antoni needs to realize he must change his way of coaching. His so-called system isn't working because key players, like Gasol are out of position.Gasol has no business being out on the perimeter, when he should be down on the low block helping out on rebounds. Also the obvious as we all know the age factor, effects this squad as well.Meta World Peace is not going to scare opposing teams as offensive threat from the 2 guard spot.

Yes it takes time to gel as a unit. Also it would help if D'Antoni make necessary adjustments for the sake of his team.Gasol has no business out on the flank, as opposed to being down on the low block helping out Howard with rebounds. Also as everyone knows an infusion of youth wouldn't hurt at the skill positions. No one is afraid of Meta World Peace as a back up two guard.

Every week or so, we hear rumors of Gasol coming to Minnesota. Anything from Kevin Love, Derrick Williams and a guard mentioned in the deal.

Don't have a clue this is the first time I have heard about this.Saw D'Antoni get really heated at some reporter last night defending his reputations as a "defensive genius".When Mike Brown was the coach their ranking as a defensive unit was in the top 10 eighth to be exact now that D'Antoni is coaching their ranking has dropped to 17th!!
