Armstrong is sleaze to the tenth power, and I had the whole board disagreeing with me on that just a few months ago. I'd like to say that his conscience got the better of him, but it's obvious that this admission is just an attempt to help him save whatever image and future revenue streams he can. Ie. This was a financial decision; not a coming clean.

Nah, the only disagreement was whether someone could be considered a cheat, legally, absent actual proof or an admission. No one ever seriously doubted that Armstrong doped, just that the organization charged with testing athletes could never find anything on him so they went and busted him anyway. Just like 98% of the riders of his era, he doped.

I wonder when his book comes out. This has the appearance of a Pete Rose-esque admission.

After watching the Oprah interview with him last night, a couple of things:

* He is a lying douchebag
* His confession was likely made only to mitigate any litigation towards him
* I still don't like Oprah, but she gets results

The only silver lining I can find is that Livestrong has been a pretty solid organization from what I can tell and has raised awareness for cancer treatment. Lance would be best served trying to make this his legacy.

I think he saw the movie flight and couldn't tell 1 more lie.
