Woo Hoo!!!!!

As 93 vaguely hinted, Danica Patrick has won the pole for the Daytona 500! Amazingly, there was only one other driver to challenge her. Patrick and Jeff Gordon were the only drivers to pass 196 mph on Pole Day.

Now for Danica to go from pole to pole for the win....

Didn't she already do that in her private life. :D

Congrats to her for winning the pole. :thumb:

You do realize Bill Elliot won the pole at over 210 mph over 25 years ago, right? 196 is fairly pedestrian.

She's been getting a little better. I say she may even crack the top 20. I'll say 18th.

That's pre-restrictor plate, 93. Under modern conditions, 196 is pretty impressive. It MUST be, considering that only two competitors got there today. If it's "pedestrian," then how come everyone except two failed to get there?

Yep. Two cars powered by engines from the all-male Hendrick Motorsports engine department and driven by little women.

The car that qualified third was not powered by a product of the all-male Hendrick Motorsports engine department.

Do I have to say it again? I mean, the Iranian space monkey could have qualified on the pole with the car she was driving. It was fastest in practice all week.

Superspeedway driving takes no skill, unless you call pressing down with your right foot for two minutes "skill".

I should have said "qualifying" instead of "driving". My bad.

Patrick will not win the race. We all know she will become mentally and physically exhausted, wreck, and then blame it on someone else. We've only seen that, what, 20 times in her short and unsuccessful NASCAR career?

I smell a great 93henfan/SH avatar bet coming. This needs to happen!

OK, I'd be willing to do an avatar bet.

My favorite driver is Jr, so if he wins SH can do an avatar of my choice for a week. I'd probably choose a woman with an apron preparing a delicious meal.

I'll sport SH's choice if Patrick wins, pending SH acceptance.

Btw, if I had to bet $$$, Stewart is winning next Sunday.

I am looking toward one of the Busch brothers winning next weekend.

It takes a lot of skill, but even more luck. As opposed to Bristol or Dover, which take mostly skill.

NASCAR will now be in the news more than it has in a long time. Must resist conspiracy theory urge.

196 should be fast enough for Danica to get home and cook her boyfriend dinner.

Me and SH are Bruhs on this subject, we'd both run naked across the track to lick her sweaty snapper fresh and hot out of them leather racin' pants, and proclaim her our pole position preference, rain or shine!

Huh Horney??
