Hopkins Wins IBF Light Heavyweight Title

Olympian Bernard Hopkins, all of 48 years old, used wily strategy and a big right hand to beat previously undefeated IBF Light Heavyweight champion Tavoris Cloud in Brooklyn tonight. A sixth round cut over Cloud's left eye effectively sealed the deal, though it did take a final three-round push by Hopkins to run away with the unanimous decision (117-111, 116-112, 116-112). Cloud whined that the cut was caused by a Hopkins elbow. The ref said that it was an accidental headbutt. It turns out that both were wrong; replay showed that it was a Hopkins punch that did the deed. Cloud knew the fight was going against him after the cut, and got desperate, going for the KO, but didn't get it, though he did tag Hopkins with a good hook to the face in the eighth.
Congratulations, Mr. Gold Medalist! This is quite the impressive feat! You are the oldest major titlist in boxing history.

Impressive, but will never root for Hopkins ever. Total racist that gets away with it do to the double standard. Joe Calzaghe.

I will pay attention to Boxing again when they don't have 429 different belts and 32 different weight classes.

Are you joking? It is common fact. He has said many racist comments on TV. I use to like the guy.
