Expect the Redskins GM to be the next to get fined...

...for criticizing league officiating. GM Bruce Allen just blasted the league for the way they handled the uncapped year controversy. Allen makes a big deal about how the league came up with their $36M cap penalty (over two years) for Washington; he says he's heard FOUR different stories about that, and is nowhere near the truth. He also cites inequity in application as the Cowboys (the other team "implicated" in the cap shenanigans) was only hit for $10M.
Allen proved himself to be an incompetent putz while with the Raiders, but in THIS case, he may have a point. The league had no business placing an under-the-table cap that wasn't negotiated with the union. That smacks of collusion, and penalizing the Redskins for not playing ball with an illegal act has GOT to be illegal, too. Goodell sure has proven that he can "break" teams he wants to "break." Just ask New Orleans. Talk about abuse of power....
And this from one of the world's biggest Redskin haters, too....
