Quick, how many players on the roster can any of you name?
6-2 start
Mariners and Angels are well on their way to yet another pathetic offering for the season

Chris Young and Jarrod Parker. Two ex Diamondbacks.

I'm ticked off that they sent the best pitcher in baseball to Sac...right after he whiffed 11 in 6-2/3.

He's 24. Patience

A's have a nice team, moneyball rules.

Yeah, very interesting to try and figure out what value he's been exploiting in recent years.
1) 7-8 above average no-name interchangeable starting pitchers
2) Pitchers ballpark
3) Terrible offense (usually)
4) ????
5) Profit

How can you say that with a straight face?

12-4 start
8-18 slide
15-2 resurgence
Just another typical year for the MLB AAA team
Meanwhile the Angels were swept in a 4-game home series by the Astroes

The A's have been doing great things behind the arm of Dan Straily of late. Too bad Melvin can't see past the end of the 6th inning. The bullpen almost blew a Straily win in the 7th this past weekend. I'm SICK of seeing starting pitchers yanked too soon, only to see a bullpen meltdown....

Why do I even bother?

Yep, Balfour and company are just blowing it for the A's! Definitely not the best part of the team

Brock: I was speaking specifically of Sean Doolittle, though admittedly that was just one bad outing for him. Three other relievers set the stage with nearly flawless performances to set up the A's game-winning hit in the 10th.

It still doesn't make any sense to complain about pulling out a pitcher after 90 pitches so that one of the best bullpens in MLB can do their job... must be your Straily bias

Bump
I'd be worried about Cespedes messing up his swing by taking part in the Home Run Derby... but he hasn't been hitting sh#t anyways

I was wrong to target Sean Doolittle. He's done an amazing job out of the pen this season, even getting saves when Grant Balfour wasn't "available," whatever that means.
The real problem seems to be Ryan Cook, who just cant seem to get the job done. Last night, he gave up two runs in 1/3 inning and almost blew the game. Doolittle had to bail everyone out.

2.64 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, 1.2 WAR
...also, implying that there's a "problem" after one of the lowest payroll teams just sealed another division crown and is in the hunt for the #1 seed/best record in baseball

Not if Scherzer has some sort of accident on the way to the stadium
