You're exactly right, Alyssa, but it's just that it's gotten REALLY bad the last few years. Tony Romo is a complete doofus who ought to be replaced NOW, but gets rewarded with a freaking EXTENSION for doing absolutely NOTHING. Jones started out on the wrong foot in dumping the best coach in the history of the NFL (not to mention the ONLY coach the Cowboys had ever had up until that point) AND the best multi-position player who ever lived. He has continued in that mold until the present day.

Landry was on his way out anyway.

Romo isn't as bad as you seem to think.

And yes, Jones let Sanders get away but as a FA. He didn't cut him.

Best coach in history my ass. Vince Lombardi and Chuck Noll come to mind immediately as better coaches.

Well you said best multi-position player who ever lived and you were talking about the Cowboys so Deion seemed the appropriate choice. . .

Deion never led the league in categories desinged for two different positions. White did....

White was also completely washed up by the time Jones cut him. He played in a whopping 3 games & started none in 1988.

Romo is a better QB than Danny White ever was. :coffee:

because Steve Pelluer was good. He's in my top 5 of Cowboy QBs along with: Gary Hogaboom, Clint Stoerner, Anthony Wright, and Babe Laufenberg

Didn't Landry spend his last decade getting owned by the 49ers, Redskins and Giants?

I don't know about "owned," Andy, but Theismann, Simms, and Montana were definitely thorns in our sides. As was Jaworski.
