Sirens Make TV News

While we're grateful for the press coverage, it would be nice if KCRA-3 sports director Del Rogers could get his facts straight. The Sirens are a pretty good team this year, but they're hardly "expected" to win their fifth championship this season. It would be nice, and it's certainly within the realm of possibility, but they'll have to find their way past the Central Cal War Angels, who seem to have the Sirens' number this year, with 24-6 and 55-6 wins this season, the Sirens' first in the Women's Football Alliance. The Sirens' 5-3 record is also misleading, as two wins come via forfeit from teams that went belly-up before the season started. (Of course, one of the War Angels' wins comes the same way.) Plus, he fails to mention that RB/DB Holly Peterson, in her first season as a Siren after a storied career elsewhere, is ALSO the team's backup quarterback and can run the option like nobody's business...from EITHER side of the pitch.
At least we get some TV coverage, though. I expect that Channel 3 will be at the game filming news highlights. Too bad they (or anyone else) won't televise the game. Heck, Channel 3 regularly did Hornets games during the '80s, but they can't be bothered with THAT anymore, either....
Anyways, here it is.

Wow. That is great journalism. I can't believe the coverage is so skim. I mean, c'mon Holly Peterson is a rock star.

SH, you should be a sports anchor. Too many people are being deprived of such riveting and entertaining sports coverage that only you could fulfill. This injustice will not stand, man!
