The San Diego Padres just acquired Arizona pitcher Ian Kennedy.
Wow. There go the D-Backs. Not sure how much this will help SD, but I'm CERTAIN that it won't help the D-Backs (except MAYBE in the form of the minor leaguer and the pick they got in the deal).

Padres need stating pitching, and playing in a pitcher park should only help Kennedy. On the other hand not sure he is worth 3 players. Thatcher is a Jeckle and Hyde type of pitcher, but my buddy was saying the minor league player wasn't that good. Tack on a draft pick and it seems like a bit much...but apparently not. All in all I think this is just a "meh" trade.
