What is up with Miami's coaches?!?

So, they get a miracle touchdown with 16 seconds left. A successful two-point conversion would have put them in position to force OT with the successful recovery of an onside kick, one play at the sideline, and a FG. But they kicked the PAT?!? That just locked them into HAVING to go for a TD had they recovered the ensuing onside kick (which they did not).
About the only thing I can think of is that they said, "Screw it, it's pre-season." But you're supposed to work situations during pre-season, and one of the things you're looking at is if your backups can handle the two-minute drill. Perfect time for it.
Maybe I'm just weird....

Coaches loathe overtime in the preseason.

It was the first of 5 preseason games for them. They didn't care.

The question is, why does SH care? I mean, the only woman on either team didn't play last night...

This is about the only thing I can think of. Perhaps they would have gone for it had the spread been such that the two plus the FG would have been for the win vice the potential for injury in an OT pre-season game.

For me, that doesn't make any sense unless you take it a step further as AZ did.
