There's a reason football movies are better than football games, they're perfectly choreographed and plotted to maximize the audience's enjoyment. If we modelled the game off of the WWE method and broadcasted an event that had already been scripted and rehearsed to perfection, it would result in an astounding, climactic experience that would make regular football games look like the junior varsity scrimmage at your local montessori school.

Picking Seattle for the win but Wilson must play out of his mind vs Manning.

At this point I'd have to go with the chalk and pick Denver. The weather is going to be pretty close to ideal for Manning. When the matchup was first announced I thought the fact that the Super Bowl is going to be in New Jersey would help Seattle's chances. But as it stands they are predicting mild conditions and not too windy.

Bottom line is that it's a quarterback driven league because of what they did with the rules over time and, while Wilson is a very good young quarterback, Denver has a substantial advantage at that position in this game. To me the best chance for Seattle would've been associated with having bad weather so that the effect of having a superior quarterback would be minimized.

And the chances of that happening seemed really good with the Super Bowl being played in New Jersey in February. But it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Considering the location and time of year they're going to get unbelievably good, mild weather.

only a 21% chance of precipitation or under 25 degrees. 31% chance of winds over 15 mph.

Nate Silver said so.

I'm going for the Seahawks because there will be so many bandwagon 9ers fans that will go full retard if they were to win. 8-)

In 2005 the Simpsons predicted the Broncos would beat the Seahawks.

They're not playing each other. Not even on the field at the same time.

Gotta give it to Queen Latifah, the gal knows how to sing.

edit: That was a great rendition of the National Anthem by Flemming, one of the best I ever remember regardless of the event.
