No doubt but it is not a done deal just yet but this will make them immediate title contenders I asked who will Boston get in return???Gil Dobie wrote:Could put Houston in contention as Howard has been improving under McHale.

Correct you can't trade 2 highly paid guys for draft picks.tribe_pride wrote:By the way, this trade has not happened yet and apparently negotiations are still going on. The Subject heading that Dal put is a guess. It may happen but is not necessarily true. From what I read, they are still negotiating with Rondo obviously being the main person in the trade.
In order for the trade to happen, there can't just be picks. There needs to be roughly equivalent salary (not sure what equivalent exactly means though) exchanged I believe.
A coach on twitter mentioned this recently I was suspicious of this plenty of times Rondo was subject of trade talks everytime Ainge said he will not be traded!!!!tribe_pride wrote:By the way, this trade has not happened yet and apparently negotiations are still going on. Getting blasted by the Bucks is something. Milwaukee is going to be hard to catch, but I have confidence the Sixers can keep up this level of tanking. At least they have a plan.bluehenbillk wrote:The Sixers are tanking their way to cornering the NBA market in say 3 years, it's ingenious!
As a Bobcats/Hornets fan, tanking to get a high pick is not always a sound strategy. Thanks to one of the most ridiculous things in sports, the NBA Draft Lottery.GannonFan wrote:Getting blasted by the Bucks is something. Eh, it's okay. We don't need the top pick, top three is fine, and besides, we have like 40 picks in the draft coming up so even if we miss on one or two we're bound to get lucky on the others.ASUMountaineer wrote:As a Bobcats/Hornets fan, tanking to get a high pick is not always a sound strategy. Yes, this will be a barn-burner of a race for the rest of the season. I think the Sixers can avoid winning another game the rest fo the year - can the Bucks win 4 more? How many more times do they square off against each other?clenz wrote:They are getting close to Milwaukee...GannonFan wrote:

Since the turn of the calendar they are 6-22
Since the 5th of January they are 3-22
In their last 15 games they are 1-15
If/when they lose tonight they will finish February with 0 wins.
Bucks are at 11 wins.
For your sake, I hope so. Hopefully, you don't get stuck with an Adam Morrison-esque pick.GannonFan wrote:Eh, it's okay.
