Football officiating question

This happened in last night's San Diego Surge vs. Nevada Storm game at Sparks HS. The Surge won 56-6, largely because the Storm O'Line has no clue about pass blocking. The lone Nevada TD came (again!) on a 50-yard fumble return during "garbage time."

Anyways, the Storm was FINALLY putting together a drive with less than a minute left, and even had an incredible lay-out catch from a former Siren (clearly the main reason I'm going). But there was time for one more play after that. In the process of sacking the Storm QB on the last play, the Surge defender planted her knee in the quarterback's face, straight out of MMA. The zebras just walked off the field.

Was that the right call? Or should they have flagged it and given the Storm fifteen yards, a first down, and an untimed down?

It's tough to say without video evidence.
