Am I just a retard? How does this draft thing go these days?
Round one today
Round 2 and 3 tomorrow (Friday)
Rounds 4-7 on Saturday?
I looked around NFL.com and ESPN and their sites suck prolapsed assholes in finding a schedule.
Oh..and the Bengals picked up a 5'10" CB from Michigan State in the first round. Not what I would have liked but...that is why they pay them the big bucks.

Denard is a beast though.
I'm glad the browns out bid the Vikings for Johnny. I'm hoping to pick Teddy up in the second round

The Browns picked up a stunningly lackluster boneless brown in that QB selection. They just drafted a shitshow-headcase.

What team do you work for again?

Nice pickup for the Vikes. I remember when there was talk of him being the # 1 pick....oh, how the mighty have fallen...

He was punished for playing the AAC (yes, I know Bortles did as well) and because his team didn't win the conference.
The tape and measurements on him are top notch, though he needs some time to bulk up - which should happen this year as I see Cassel starting most of the season.
The only negative on him was his pro day. More stock was put into that than his 3 year career where he completed 69% of his passes (71 this past season with a 31-4 TD/INT ratio) with a 72-24 TD/INT ratio for his career.
Teddy completed nearly as many passes in his career as Blake attempted...more yards per completion and attempt, better TD/INT.
The only QB that comes close to him in any statistical category is AJ McCarron who had 4 years of starting to put up numbers that are actually less than Teddy's.****
This is an amazing value for Minnesota.
**** Turns our Aaron fucking Murray had some ungodly stats....13k yards and 121 tds to just 41 ints. If not for his injury he very well could have been a first/second round pick.

Still trying to figure out what Cleveland was thinking when they traded up
one spot to get a CB.

After sleeping on the pick, and doing some reading on the Bengal board, everyone seems to think it was a great pick and no one thought he would be available.
I kinda hope Carr will be available for the Bengals to pick up and get in a system so they can either light a fire under Dalton's red ass or to replace him after next year.

Didn't stop two of his Louisville teammates from going very high in the draft???

Carr won't make it past the first 4 picks of the second round.
I'd be shocked if he made it past Houston, honestly.

Neither of which were the face of the program and faced the kind of scrutiny that Teddy did.

I can hope, right? I am, afterall, a Bengal fan and hope is all we ever get.

Right there with you on the hope thing.
Cinci might be smart to sit and wait until late 3 or 4 and take a flyer on McCarron. He isn't a "sexy" pick but he is probably the most pro ready QB in the draft.

Really? You don't think potential first round picks faced "scrutiny"? They still played in the AAC, just like Bridgewater.

Packers took Ha Ha Clinton-Dix (21st pick) who was supposed to be one of the top 2 safeties this year. Looks to be a solid but not spectacular player. Should be an upgrade over what they had. Heck, anything would be an upgrade. ZERO int's from safeties last year. ZERO!!!!

Weak yr for running backs- not a single taken in the 1st round.
Also weak yr for ILB. 6 LBs were taken 1st round, 5 OLb and only 1 ILB, which the Ravens took with the 17th pick in Bama ILB CJ Mosely. Last time the Ravens took an ILB in the 1st round was 96'- guy by the name of Ray Lewis...

Probably was the guy the Eagles wanted, only to have him go one pick in front of them. Wonder if the Browns would've gotten Manziel if the Packers didn't make that pick - figure the Eagles stay put at #22 if Clinton-Dix was still on the board, and then you wonder if the other teams before #26, where the Browns were, would've taken Manziel. Would the Bengals have taken a flyer on him considering the questions if Dalton is really the guy to lead them at QB?

Last year, none were taken in the 1st round.
2012, had Richardson taken as the 3 pick (bust) and Martin and Wilson taken as the last 2 in the 1st round with only 2 more in the 2nd round
2011, Ingram was the only RB taken in the 1st round at 28
I think teams are scared to take RBs early now. Most teams platoon at the position and it seems that a good RB can be found in later rounds. The only one picked early the past 2 years was somehow traded for a 1st round draft pick to the Colts and is averaging 3.3 yards per carry between both teams (only 2.9 at Indy)
That said, cbs ranks Hyde from OSU as 50th best on the overall chart which projects to late 2nd round

You think they made a bad choice this will give them a nice DB duo for quite sometime I read somewhere Detroit was looking at Gilbert as well they need serious help in defensive backfield one of the worst in the league last season.

They gave up the 9th pick and a 4th round pick to trade up from 9 to 8 for a player that the team at 8 wasn't going to take...
They gave away a pick to take a guy that was going to be there at their pick

No.
There is only 1 great back in the NFL.
The rest are serviceable backs for 2 platoon systems. Why pay a RB first round money when you won't get first round production
