At the IAAF World Relays in the Bahamas this weekend, Team USA takes home FOUR of the five available gold medals on the women's side and set an American Record in winning silver in the 4-mile relay. The men score gold ONLY in the mile relay, and are DQ'ed for the zillionth time in recent memory, THIS time for failing to pass within the exchange zone in the half-mile relay. Man, this is getting old. This trash never happened when we had Carl Lewis....
Anyways, three world records were set at these games. That's amazing.
Here are the winners:
Quarter-Mile Relay:
M: Jamaica 37.77
W: USA 41.88
Half-Mile Relay:
M: Jamaica 1:18.63 WR
W: USA 1:29.45
